I have been doing Richard's classes for around a year now. I originally wanted to do Pilates to strengthen a shoulder I had been having problems with, but soon realised that as well as sorting out my shoulder, my strength, flexibility and balance were improving too. Each week is different. Richard has all sorts of creative ways of using the equipment he brings with him, is very encouraging and makes sure we are doing the exercises correctly. Classes have a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. My sister also does a Pilates class - the same routine every week, very serious and no fun. She is very jealous. Unfortunately 2 hours is too far for her to travel even for these classes!

I was advised to take a Pilates class by my Physio after suffering with a trapped nerve in my shoulder. After looking for about two months and only finding huge classes in expensive gyms I finally found Prima Pilates. Richard's classes are fairly small and there's a mix of ages and ability levels with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The exercises change every week to keep it varied and challenging. I've been attending Northfields (and occasionally Sunbury) for about six months now and am really feeling the benefits in my back and shoulders as well as noticing that my body awareness and general stability has improved hugely. I have been attending Richards Pilates classes in Harrow for a few years now and I can highly recommend them for all levels and ages. Before going Richards classes, I had suffered from pains in my knees, but my aches and pains have all gone away. Apart from this – the classes are fun and friendly with excellent tuition - Thanks Richard

I have been going to Prima Pilates in Hanwell for over two years and I wish I had discovered Richard sooner! The classes are excellent, I have learnt so much especially about body awareness, posture and balance. Richard is a great teacher; patient, knowledgable and fun. I would recommend his classes to everyone. Wendy MARCH 2019

Great instructor! Pays attention to detail and ensures correct posture for long term benefits, doesn’t just push hard moves that are unrealistic or unbeneficial. Start with the basics and work up to ensure good core support and safe positioning. Looking forward to going back!!  😊 hope all is well Rich!!

I am 75 with arthritis and several old injuries. Since I have been coming to Richard's classes my walking and balance have become much better and my posture has improved enormously. I really notice the difference if I miss a few classes, which I try not to do.
I find the classes fun and sometimes quite challenging, but Richard encourages everyone to work to his or her own capability. No one ever feels left out and he gives us all individual attention when we need it and there are always new exercises to try.

"I've attended Pilates classes at various places but none of them are anywhere near as good as Richard's. Because Richard is very thorough in teaching us the technique and principles of Pilates, I reap the benefits immediately. The exercises resolve my stiff shoulders after office work, my posture has improved and my muscles are more toned. I've only started three months ago! There is a friendly atmosphere in class and Richard tailors his exercises for every level, so no one feels left out. By far the best Pilates class I've ever been to."  Marthe Dec 2015

"I love learning Pilates with Richard. I have been attending his Ealing classes for a few months now and already feel improvement in my core strength and posture. Richard is excellent at teaching the proper form for each exercise so I have really felt the benefit. The time in class flies by too so I am clearly enjoying myself!" Lavina. 2014

As a 60+ pensioner I was advised to do Pilates by my doctor after being diagnosed with arthritis last year. I have never really been a sporty person, I dislike gyms and for years I worked hunched over a computer. I was a bit sceptical at first but I joined PrimaPilates.co.uk in Ealing as a total novice. What's good is that the exercises are slow and not high impact and everybody works at their own speed and level. The classes are small which means more personal attention from the teacher. Results can sometimes seem a bit subtle but over time the core muscles become stronger, flexibility improves and the exercises become easier. I now look forward to my class every week, I feel fitter than I have done for a long time, and I have lost some weight.
Prices are reasonable, there are different packages available, you can organise your classes to suit your timetable so you get what you pay for, and the atmosphere is friendly. I would definitely recommend it.
